Poetry Slam Test and Competition for Grade 8

We are really proud of our Grade 8 students who clearly demonstrated elements of the IB learner profile:- Communicators and Principled.
Instead of an English written exam, students had to research a topic that they feel passionate about. They wrote their own poem of protest and performed it as a Slam Poem during test week! Topics ranged from consumerism, pollution, equality, and women's rights with every poem giving a clear and compelling message! Not only was this an exam, but it was also a competition with the group voting for their peers
Every student can be extremely proud of what they presented! It really was outstanding work!
