A personal message from our Grade 10 student Alexander, who went to his first MUN!
“Last weekend I and some other members of the school went down to The Hague to attend the MUNISH conference, a Model United Nations conference created to give people an experience of how a career in international relations may be. This was my first conference though I can say with certainty that it will not be my last. Upon arrival, we were given a free water bottle and a package to get us started. I attended a workshop to introduce new delegates to how to behave and prepare; all questions were welcome and they were very accepting. I got to meet tons of people from all around the world, some coming from as far as Cyprus or Senegal. We got to experience a first-hand look on how to debate, speech and lobby a resolution, it truly was an unforgettable experience. After all the meetings and debate sessions we also got to have a lot of fun, some delegates partook in karaoke while everybody filled out superlatives.”
